Cloud architecture and migration

Cloud migration moves systems from a data centre, a managed host or a supplier’s account into cloud infrastructure you control, with a landing zone, network and identity design, and a plan that can roll back at every step. Hexploits migrates to AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or its own EU-hosted reserved capacity, and stays to run the result.

A named engineer replies within one working day. A written scope and an indicative price within two.

  • Businesses leaving a data centre or a hosting provider whose contract is ending.
  • IT directors who discovered their systems run in a supplier’s cloud account, not their own.
  • Companies consolidating several clouds after acquisitions.

Deliverables, not slogans. Each one appears in the statement of work.

  • An assessment of every workload with its dependencies, data and migration route.
  • A landing zone: accounts, network, identity, logging and guardrails, as code.
  • A migration plan with waves, rehearsals and rollback for each wave.
  • Migrated workloads with monitoring, backups and documented recovery objectives.
  • A cost model before and a bill after.

Our engineers work across the major languages, frameworks and cloud platforms. We build on the stack you already run, with technology choices explained in writing before work begins.

The same four stages as every Hexploits engagement, applied to this capability.

  1. Stage 1

    Assess

Inventory, dependencies and the honest list of what should be moved as-is, re-platformed, or retired.

  2. Stage 2

    Landing zone

The account structure, network and identity built as code and reviewed against your security requirements.

  3. Stage 3

    Migrate in waves

Low-risk workloads first, rehearsed in a copy, cut over with a rollback plan. No Friday cut-overs.

  4. Stage 4

    Operate

Monitoring, patching, backups and cost management under managed support.

Every engagement agrees its measures and the measurement period in writing before work starts.

  • Workloads migrated with no unplanned downtime.
  • Monthly infrastructure cost against the previous twelve months.
  • Recovery time and recovery point objectives, tested rather than stated.

  • Director, Gradvisor

Fantastic company and our development partner for Gradvisor, a social mobility careers platform with national ambitions. Extremely responsive and mission-oriented. Cameron owns any shortfalls humbly - rare for IT providers. Thinks like a client too.

  • Director, JobVantage

Working with Hexploits has genuinely been a pleasure, and I see them as my scaling partner for the foreseeable future as JobVantage grows. If you’re looking for a development team who combine strong AI/engineering capability with honesty, flexibility and a real interest in your business, I’d strongly recommend them.

Which cloud should we use?
The one that fits your estate, your skills and your compliance needs. We work with AWS, Google Cloud and Azure and we say which we would choose and why in the assessment. For predictable workloads that want a fixed cost, Hexploits Cloud in the EU is an option.
Whose account will it be in?
Yours. We build in your organisation’s account with our access scoped and reviewable.
How long does a migration take?
From a few weeks for a handful of systems to several months for a full estate. The assessment gives a dated plan by wave.
