Managed support

Monitoring and on-call

On-call monitoring means alerts from your systems reach an engineer who can act, at any hour, with an agreed response time. Hexploits provides monitoring and on-call as part of managed support, with incidents handled by a named rota and reported monthly.

A named engineer replies within one working day. A written scope and an indicative price within two.

  • Businesses whose systems matter outside office hours.
  • IT teams of one or two who cannot cover nights and weekends.
  • Companies that have had an outage nobody noticed until Monday.

Deliverables, not slogans. Each one appears in the statement of work.

  • Monitoring configured for availability, errors, latency and capacity.
  • An on-call rota with escalation and response targets.
  • Incident handling with a written post-incident review for anything significant.
  • A status page and client notifications.
  • Monthly incident and response-time reporting.

Our engineers work across the major languages, frameworks and cloud platforms. We build on the stack you already run, with technology choices explained in writing before work begins.

The same four stages as every Hexploits engagement, applied to this capability.

  1. Stage 1

    Instrument

Alerts defined from what would actually hurt, tuned to be actionable.

  2. Stage 2

    Rota

Engineers who know the system, with a deputy, and escalation to the director.

  3. Stage 3

    Respond

Acknowledge, mitigate, resolve, communicate, within the targets.

  4. Stage 4

    Learn

Post-incident reviews feed the roadmap and the alerts.

Every engagement agrees its measures and the measurement period in writing before work starts.

  • Time to acknowledge and time to resolve, against target.
  • Incidents found by monitoring rather than by users.
  • Repeat incidents, trending to zero.

  • Director, Gradvisor

Fantastic company and our development partner for Gradvisor, a social mobility careers platform with national ambitions. Extremely responsive and mission-oriented. Cameron owns any shortfalls humbly - rare for IT providers. Thinks like a client too.

Is on-call 24/7?
It depends on the tier. The service schedule states the hours and the targets, and the published tiers appear on the managed support page once confirmed.
How do we hear about an incident?
Through the status page and direct notification to your named contacts, with an update cadence stated in the service schedule.
What if the incident is in a system you do not manage?
We tell you what we can see, and where it is within the contract we help. Boundaries are written into the service schedule.
