Documented exit and handover

A documented exit is the guarantee that a client can leave a supplier with everything they need: current documentation, an inventory of credentials, the code and infrastructure in their own name, and a recorded walkthrough for whoever comes next. Hexploits publishes its exit terms and keeps the handover material current throughout the contract rather than writing it at the end.

A named engineer replies within one working day. A written scope and an indicative price within two.

  • Businesses that have been trapped by a supplier before.
  • Procurement teams that require exit provisions in every contract.
  • Boards that want a supplier failure to be survivable.

Deliverables, not slogans. Each one appears in the statement of work.

  • Runbooks and architecture documentation kept current as part of the service.
  • A credential inventory: every secret, where it is used, and who holds it.
  • Code, infrastructure definitions and cloud accounts in your name from day one.
  • On notice: rotation of every credential we held, a recorded walkthrough, and a transition period if wanted.
  • Written confirmation of access removal on the agreed date.

Our engineers work across the major languages, frameworks and cloud platforms. We build on the stack you already run, with technology choices explained in writing before work begins.

The same four stages as every Hexploits engagement, applied to this capability.

  1. Stage 1

    From day one

Everything is created in your accounts and documented as it is built.

  2. Stage 2

    Notice

Thirty days on managed contracts. No exit fee.

  3. Stage 3

    Handover

Documentation reviewed with the incoming team, walkthrough recorded, secrets rotated.

  4. Stage 4

    Close

Access removed and confirmed in writing; optional paid transition support.

Every engagement agrees its measures and the measurement period in writing before work starts.

  • A new supplier able to operate the system from the handover material alone.
  • No credentials held by Hexploits after the close date.
  • Exit completed within the notice period.

  • Director, Gradvisor

Fantastic company and our development partner for Gradvisor, a social mobility careers platform with national ambitions. Extremely responsive and mission-oriented. Cameron owns any shortfalls humbly - rare for IT providers. Thinks like a client too.

Why publish this?
Because a supplier who cannot describe how you leave is telling you how they plan to keep you. Publishing it costs us something, which is the point.
Is there an exit fee?
No. Transition support beyond the notice period is available at the published day rate if you want it.
What if Hexploits ceased trading?
Because everything is in your name and documented, another supplier can take over without our involvement. The trust page covers continuity in more detail.
