AI for recruitment: sourcing, screening and matching automation

Recruitment AI automates the parts of sourcing, screening and matching that consume a consultant’s day: finding candidates and roles across job boards and databases, extracting structured profiles from CVs, voice notes, screenshots and documents, scoring the fit in both directions, and attaching the contact who can act. Hexploits builds these systems with confidence scores on every extraction, written reasoning on every match, and a person in the loop wherever the EU AI Act or the client’s own policy requires one.

A named engineer replies within one working day. A written scope and an indicative price within two.

  • Recruitment agencies and RPOs whose consultants spend more time searching than talking to candidates.
  • HR technology vendors adding matching, screening or enrichment to their product.
  • In-house talent teams with more applications than people to read them.
  • Job boards and candidate databases that want to match rather than list.

Deliverables, not slogans. Each one appears in the statement of work.

  • Ingestion of job and candidate data from your CRM, ATS, job boards and specialist data providers, behind an abstraction layer with health monitoring and failover.
  • Extraction of structured candidate profiles from CVs, voice notes, screenshots and documents, with a confidence score per field and a review queue for the uncertain ones.
  • Matching in both directions, candidates to roles and roles to candidates, with a score, written reasoning and the hiring contact attached.
  • An evaluation set built from your placements, so match quality is measured against outcomes rather than opinion.
  • Human review points where the Act, your policy or your clients require them, recorded in the audit log.
  • Usage-priced infrastructure so the platform bill follows the hiring market up and down.

Our engineers work across the major languages, frameworks and cloud platforms. We build on the stack you already run, with technology choices explained in writing before work begins.

The same four stages as every Hexploits engagement, applied to this capability.

  1. Stage 1

    Discovery

Two to four weeks. We map where consultants’ time goes, the data sources you have and can buy, and the decisions that must stay with a person. Output: a written scope, an evaluation set and a fixed figure or capped estimate.

  2. Stage 2

    Build

Ingestion and extraction first, then matching tuned against the evaluation set, with a working demonstration every fortnight against real roles and candidates.

  3. Stage 3

    Launch

A pilot desk or client, match quality and time saved measured against the baseline, then rollout by team.

  4. Stage 4

    Operate

Data source changes, model updates, drift monitoring and cost reporting under deployment and monitoring.

JobVantage: a recruitment intelligence platform matching candidates and roles in both directions

Hexploits designed and built JobVantage end to end: ingestion from specialist data providers, extraction of candidate profiles from CVs, voice notes, screenshots and documents with confidence scores, vector search over millions of candidates and roles, and a model-based ranking that scores every match out of 1,000 with written reasoning. API responses under 100 ms at the 95th percentile, 99.9% availability, on infrastructure that costs almost nothing when idle.

Every engagement agrees its measures and the measurement period in writing before work starts.

  • Consultant hours per placement, measured against a baseline before launch.
  • Match precision against the evaluation set, reported monthly.
  • Time from role opened to first shortlist.
  • Infrastructure cost per candidate processed, so the bill is known before the rollout.

Can AI shortlist candidates legally?
Yes, with conditions. Under the EU AI Act, AI that filters applications or evaluates candidates is high-risk, which means documentation, logging, bias testing and human oversight are required from December 2027 for firms in scope. Under UK GDPR, a decision with legal or similarly significant effect cannot be solely automated without safeguards. We build the human review points and the evidence in from the start.
How accurate is CV extraction?
It depends on the input, which is why every extracted field carries a confidence score and low-confidence fields go to a review queue rather than silently into the database. Accuracy is measured against your own documents during discovery and reported monthly after launch.
Does it work with our ATS or CRM?
Yes. We integrate with the systems you already run, such as Bullhorn, Vincere, Greenhouse or a bespoke platform, so the extraction and matching feed the tools consultants already use rather than adding another one.
How does matching in both directions work?
A vector search narrows millions of candidates or roles to a focused set, then a model ranks each pairing with a score and reasoning, and contact enrichment attaches the person who can act on it. The same engine serves a consultant looking for candidates and a candidate looking for roles.
What does the infrastructure cost?
It tracks usage. JobVantage runs on usage-priced services that scale automatically and cost near zero when idle, which suits a market whose load spikes on Monday mornings and after redundancy announcements. The figure for your volumes comes with the written proposal.
